Your Tears Are Never Wasted

As words fail me today by the sudden death of one of my co-workers/associates in the organization for which I am employed, I began to look through some of the many articles that I have written online since I started my blogs. I came across this one [previously posted in Daily Devotionals] from which I was able to draw strength. It is to me a vivid reminder of God’s word to us that our tears, no matter the occasion for which they may have been shed are indeed never wasted. So here it is, very short and to the point as follows:

Your tears are not wasted….it is said that tears are our language that God only understands. Tears are bottled by angels and are precious to God. His word tells us that they that sow in tears shall reap the harvest in great joy. The psalmist David actually said this, “Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?” ~ Psalm 56: 8 To that I say: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

The time will come eventually when those same tears God will turn them into His FAVOR and pour upon you blessings that you will not have room enough to contain because God Himself will swallow up death in victory. God will wipe away tears from all faces. (Isaiah 25:8)

Many other things have been seen and heard by others who have both testified and assured us of the wonderful promises of God. Through them God continues to give us the comfort as revealed by His Spirit. He says, “They [God’s people] shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb [Jesus Christ Himself] which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall  lead them into living fountains of waters; and God shall wipe away ALL TEARS from their eyes.” ~ Revelation 7:16-17
To God be all the glory, dominion, honor and power. The one who was, who is and for evermore shall be!

  8. Hi Yvonne:
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. All the comfort I can give is:
Know that your co worker is now home, in a much better place. I understand it isn't much, but I have a feeling that you understand that God has the best in mind for all of us.

    Again, I offer my condolences.

    Chris
