DR MYLES Munroe, pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries International, and his wife Ruth, were among the nine persons on board a Lear 36 executive jet that went down in a “gruesome” crash in bad weather in Grand Bahama on Sunday evening November 9th 2014.
Dr. Monroe is survived by his two children, his son Myles “Chairo” Jr Monroe and his daughter, Charise Munroe.

Reports from the Bahama Tribune is that although police have not yet released the identities of the victims, church officials have confirmed that Dr. Richard Pinder, BFM’s Senior Vice President was also on board.
Pastor Lavard Parks, his wife Rudel Parks, both BFM youth ministers and their son Johonnan were also on the plane, according to a statement from Mr. Parks’ public relations team.
Unconfirmed reports state that Captain Stanley Thurston, along with a visitor from Africa, and another pilot were on board the ill fated plane.
It is believed severe weather conditions may have contributed to the crash.
According to Dr. Monroe’s biography on Bahamas Faith Ministries (BFM), he served as a business consultant to governments, Fortune 500 companies ad corporations where he addressed critical issues “affecting every human development.”
In 1998 he became the Bahamas’ youngest ever recipient of the Queen’s Birthday Honors of the Order of The British Empire (OBE) Award which he received from Queen Elizabeth of England.

editions, journals, magazines and newsletters.
Dr. Monroe frequently appeared at Christian events before mass audiences where he emphasized the Kingdom of God and his belief that the whole Bible revolved around that Kingdom. He appeared alongside some of the most prominent preachers in the evangelical community, including Bishop TD Jakes, Bishop Eddie Long and Pastor Benny Hinn.
Born and raised in New Providence in 1954, he recieved a degree in fine arts, education and theology from Oral Roberts University in 1978, a Master’s degree in administration from the University of Tulsa in 1980 and has been awarded numerous honorary doctoral degrees. He has also served as an adjunct professor of the Graduate School of Theology at Oral Roberts University.

Dr. Myles Monroe, leader of the Bahamas Faith Ministries, internationally-known author, bible teacher, governmental consultant, leadership mentor and his wife Ruth, and seven others have been killed in a plane crash Sunday afternoon in Grand Bahamas, this according to multiple news reports.
The private plane, said to be a Lear 36 executive jet left the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) at 4:07 pm for the Grand Bahama International Airport, the Department of Civil Aviation reports. The vessel while making an approach landing at 5:10 pm reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard, exploding on impact and crashed into the ground near a junkyard area. The plane carried nine people.
According to news source, it is believed the group was heading to a conference hosted by Pastor Monroe scheduled for November 10th – 13th 2014 in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Myles Munroe presents a leadership of John the Baptist when he saw new leadership he spoke of it but he didn’t realign himself to embrace it and so his ministry so big that he cannot humble himself to it and by God’s mercy, God brings him to rest. He is a wonderful man and impacted many believers always when God is doing something new He cannot observe what he did yesterday distracts the new. According to his prophesy many leaders with international ministries if they don’t get born again like Nicodemus in Jn3 they are on the way of Myles Munroe’s. This is the way of the Lord.
It was very shocking……….I couldn’t believe………I have listened to him, read his books……Dr. Miles is a great TEACHER and great SERVANT. He did a GREAT JOB as he will continue to be the influence he is through the work he shared with us.
This is so heart breaking! Words cannot explain such great loss to humanity. It is the Living Word of God which says that …..”the steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord.”…. Therefore we do not complain or question God as nothing can ever happen to us except God allows it. The Lord needed him in heaven more than the earth does…… So to God be the glory. RIP Dr. Monroe and team.
I fill hard sorrow about Dr. Miles Munroe and His Wife Ruth Death. I have two videos on my desk top that preaches about uncontrolled change. and God’s kingdom. I am saddened by the news. Dr Myles Munroe was an inspiration to the world. We going to miss him and his wisdom. God will definitely console his family.
Indeed we are deeply saddened. Like so many, I am a beneficiary of his wisdom, motivation and inspiration. He will be missed.
I can only image the grief that the family must feel and his congregation. Yes it is a tragic for us and we do not understand. But God has a plan even in tragic situation such as these and even death could not destroy Gods plan. What an awesome man and woman of God. Such a blessing to many. My prayers are with his children and family, congregation and friends.

Welcome to my blog. So good the see you here. We all feel a sense of deep loss even if we have never met Dr. Monroe and his wife. We also will not forget the other victims of this tragedy who no doubt will also be greatly missed by their friends and loved ones.
I totally agree with you that God indeed use tragic situations such as these to bring about the fulfillment of His plan which nothing or no one can destroy This is a turning point in the body of Christ and it is situations such as these that signals the reaping of a great harvest of souls over into the kingdom of God and out of the kingdom of darkness.

Welcome to my little neck of the woods here in blogosphere. I can understand your concern. However, we can appreciate the fact that it is in the power of Almighty God to stop/block and intercept things from happening to any one of us, the same way that it is within His full control to allow bad things to happen, even if it means death.
The question will always linger on in our minds why did He allow this to happen and we don’t have the answer. The assurance that I can give is to see this as a transition and to remember to be absent from the body is to be present where God is. Also, those who die in Christ are blessed. We have hope that we will see them again one day, providing that we too when death knocks at our doorstep, we have made it right with Him.

It is indeed a heart breaking moment. I was in deep shock upon learning of his death, I just couldn’t hold back the tears.
