Never Take Anything For Granted – Give Thanks!
“When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.” ~ G.K. Chesterton
In just a few days, Sunday 19th January to be exact, I will be celebrating another milestone in my life. It is one of those occasions that I never take for granted. Matter of fact, we should never take anything in life for granted. Everything has significance to it and while it may not always be explicit, some things are implied and it behooves us to dig deeper into the meaning of it so that the appropriate response is taken.
My birthday is that special occasion! Yippy! Yeah!! Okay, let me calm myself down. lol! Well, aside from the special gift that I plan on giving myself, I would like to use this opportunity today, being the day of the week that I have set aside on the blog to express gratitude, to give thanks for my life over the years.
I refuse to complain about the past, and all of the things that did not go the way that I thought they should have gone. It is God who orders the steps of each one of us and if He God so allowed my steps to be directed in the way that it went, it was for His purpose and divine plan that He allowed it.
That I will not take for granted, so I say thank you God for all that you have done in the past, thank you for what you are doing right now and more so, I thank you for what is to come!
I am indeed in high spirit today, more than all of the days that have passed this week. I arrived to work ninety minutes ahead of my schedule this morning and such a great spirit of expectation and wonderful thoughts of my life ahead embraced me and caused me to break out in a high note of praise.
“Never take anything for granted in life, everything has a purpose and a deeper meaning that we need to explore.”
There was such a peace that surpassed all my understanding. The energy flow felt different. My soul and spirit began to soar. My heart was full of joy and peace as His presence give me a warm, sweet embrace. Truly, this is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Here is the word that resonated with me:
“O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. O give thanks to the God of gods: for his mercy endureth forever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth forever. To him alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth forever.” ~ Psalm 136:1-4
How about you? Have you ever been at that place where you felt so different and new that you just could not accurately put into words the way that you felt?

Hey Kalley, sure hope you enjoyed your field trip day, and the weather of course 🙂 You deserve the best! Have a great weekend!
YES! I was feeling that way this very mooring! Instead of doing our usual home school stuff, I decide to take the day as a field trip day and just enjoy the nice warm weather (of 45 degrees) that were were given today. Never take anything for granted for sure!
A great weekend to you also Michelle!
Blessings! Thank you for those reassurances and confirmations! Have a fantastic weekend!
Hi Michelle, continue to be encouraged and to remain submissive to the divine plan and purpose of God for your life. It is normal when He begin to take you into a whole new dimension that you will definitely loose some friends etc along the way. But that is quite in order. He will align you to persons with like spirit, passion and like purpose in order to bring forth His plan in the earth. Blessings as always!
I can feel the positive and upbeat energy coming at me through your words! The season of growth and change that I am currently in has definitely got me feeling a way that I and those around me often can't fully understand. All I know, is He is doing some awesome things and I have finally surrendered and am letting Him lead my steps and direction. I have and will lose some friendships and acquaintances along the way, but it is all a part of the process that I am willing to accept. Sometimes we are our biggest hindrance.
