[DAY 12 of 21] "The Journey To Your Restoration ~ Walk By Faith And Not By Sight!"

“…..But the just shall live by his faith (Habakkuk 2:4b, Galatians 3:11 KJV) Now faith is the substantiating [substance] of things hoped for, the conviction [evidence] of things not seen….But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that draws near [cometh] to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them who seek him out [diligently seek him]. (Hebrews 11:1,6 John Darby Bible Version) For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV) There is scarcely any verse of the Bible considered more important than the ones that speaks on the subject of FAITH. As a matter of fact it is so important that is occurs 247 times in 231 verses of the King James Bible.
FAITH is vital for any Christian believer. Just to mention a few, it is the strong conviction that is needed for us to believe that God exists and that He formed the world by the power of His word (Gen.1:1, John 1:1); it is the absolute compelling belief that is needed in order to confess Jesus being raised from the dead (Romans 10:9) it is what we are to live by (Habakkuk 2:4b, Galatians 3:11); it produces the work of salvation in the life of any individual (Luke 7:50, Ephesians 2:8); it is important for us to walk the Christian pathway (11 Corinthians 5:7); faith mixed with the word brings about purification of the heart (Acts 15:9, John 15:3); peace in a believer comes as a result of justification by faith (Romans 5:1); it is a our shield and a spiritual weapon by which one is able to fight ( Ephesians 6:16, 1 Timothy 6:12); it is needed in order for ours prayers to be effective, to save the sick and to bring about their healing (James 5:15); it substantiates the promises of God which we hope for, it brings into existence substance (Hebrews 11:1); it is absolutely necessary in order to please God (Hebrews 11:6) and most importantly, it is a gift from God to every believer. (1 Corinthians 12:9)

Whatever we hope for is a future contention of our faith in God of His many wonderful promises to us and it makes them present realities to us as we walk each day. Faith in action demonstrates to the eye of the mind the reality of those things that cannot be discerned by the eye of the body. And to further illustrate that point, the on line Jamison Bible Commentary can be cited as saying “By faith alone we are sure of eternal things that they ARE: but by hope we are confident that WE SHALL HAVE them.”

Whatever our personal conviction and our belief is about FAITH, and the level at which we are in God, hold fast the profession and always keep close to our remembrance that while God is with us here, yet we are not with Him as we hope to be. In this continuing journey to our restoration, we must keep on the pathway of faith to walk by it, and never walk by what we can see with our natural eyes. God will not only speak to us by His word, but He will speak into us by our own conscience. He whispers to us in His own way and by faith we hear Him as He whispers these words to us, “This is the way to go, walk in it.” Let us continue to be instant in prayer, and be careful at all times to observe what answers He gives by His Word, His Spirit and by His providence. Never be afraid to consult ‘experiences’ and to consult the experienced. God will always point us the way in which we are to walk for He only knows the way that we are to take. And if there is ever a time that we are tempted to think that is fate or ‘bad luck’ and not God,  then let us set ourselves upon the tower as Habakkuk did and “watch to see what he will say unto me.” (Habakkuk 2: 1)

God bless you!
