Prayer – There Is Peace In Stillness
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)
Dear God, the creator of all things visible and invisible, we come to you in humble adoration and give you all the praise, glory and honor. Blanket each one of us in your tender mercy and grace. Comfort us through your Spirit. Help us to abide in you as you abide in us. Teach us how to be still in your presence and learn what it means to wait upon you.
When there is trouble, may we remember that we have the liberty through Christ to cast all our cares upon you and believe likewise that you love and care for us. We give you the burdens, the weight of which is too heavy for us to bear. Remove the spirit of heaviness and every distraction that so easily beset us and replace them with your peace and the spirit of focus and clarity in our mind.
You are not the author of confusion, but you are the God of order. So every aspect of our lives that is out of order and in dis-array, Lord just as you commanded the wind and the wave to be still and they obeyed you, we speak to our situations and say, “Peace, be still!” By faith we look to you for the manifestation of your word to bring about change and transformation in our lives, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
