9 Uplifting Gratitude Quotes

expressing gratitude

First, a depth of gratitude goes to our heavenly Father for sparing all our lives, for breathing His breath into our nostrils and bringing us to a state of consciousness today. Second, gratitude goes to our family, friends and loved ones, even ‘strangers’ who we meet along the way – kind words, some act of kindness, encouragement, motivation and even inspiration.

On this day that has been set aside on EMB to show gratitude, I’ve put together a variety of quotes that I have found to be uplifting and trust that you too will be inspired and uplifted by them..

No matter what the situation is…close your eyes and think of all the things you could be grateful for in your life right now.” ~ Deepak Chopra

As you close your eyes and you take a few deep breaths, picture yourself coming out of your situation..see yourself as the winner, see yourself being elevated beyond anything you could have ever imagined.

Gratitude, not understanding, is the secret to joy and equanimity.” ~ Anne Lamott

If you want more joy and happiness in your life, start being grateful for the things you have.

Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yot most powerful things humans can do for each other.” ~ Randy Pausch

Gratitude goes beyond words – it is very powerful when expressed through actions by some kind deed we do for another human being.

The miracle of gratitude is that it shifts your perception to such an extent that it changes the world you see.” ~ Dr. Robert Holden

Gratitude goes beyond race, color, culture, education, ethnicity, government and political affiliation. And while it is a conditioning of the mind, is a miracle that allows you to see God through every person you encounter.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more.” ~ Melody Beattie

When I read this, I could not help but equate it to an old familiar saying, ‘little is much when God is in it.’ That is, the more we give thanks to God for what we have, the more He multiply and increase His blessings into our lives.

Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer.” ~ Dr. Maya Angelou

Let gratitude be the last thing that you express before you go to bed at nights.

Forgiveness is a form of gratitude. When we forgive others, we show them the mercy that we have often received and been thankful for.” ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach

Experience the depth of gratitude through forgiveness to others and yourself.

For me, every hour is grace. And I feel gratitude in my heart each time I meet someone and look at his or her smile.” ~ Elie Wiesel

The smile on your face, the smile of a child infects the universe with a spirit of gratitude and reminds us of the outpouring of God’s grace upon us in the earth each day.

Gratitude is a quality similar to electricity: it must be produced and discharged and used up in order to exist at all.” ~ William Faulkner

We’re on the same page this week, Yvonne! Gratitude is our mantra, and what a good one it is. I love all of the quotes, but Chopra’s resonates the most with me right now.
