Ebola Success Stories and PrayerCast, Pray For West Africa Video

Over the past days, we have had some good news emerging about the condition of persons who had recently contracted the Ebola virus disease (EVD) and those who had been under a 21 day quarantine. I call these success stories, more like present day miracles.
Nurse Nina Pham, who is currently being treated at the National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland – her condition was upgraded from fair to good on Tuesday. Nina contracted the disease while taking care of Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian resident with Ebola and who later died at a Texas hospital on October 8, 2014.
Freelance cameraman Ashoka Mukpo no longer has the virus in his bloodstream and will be allowed to leave the Nebraska Medical Center, the hospital said Tuesday.

All this great news comes at about the same time some four dozen persons who had come in contact with patient zero (Duncan) ended their 21 day monitoring period and are now officially cleared of after not demonstrating any symptoms.
In Spain, media sources are reporting that nurse’s aide, Teresa Romero Ramos who contracted Ebola after treating patients with the deadly disease in Madrid, Spain, is now free of the virus.
In Nigeria, it is official that the virus is now gone from that country. The statistical data in the end, Nigeria confirmed 19 Ebola cases, including a total of eight deaths.
Sadly, this is not the case for Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia now the combined Ebola stricken regions and the epic centre of the outbreak. These West African countries and the people need our continued prayers and whatever resources in order to help them fight this dreadful disease, and as one source describes it – “a biological tsunami.”

The Ebola virus is claiming the lives of thousands in West Africa, with some projecting those numbers to escalate into the millions. With no known cure, the disease has ravaged and devastated entire families and towns with a survival rate of only around 50%. Concentrated in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea, the Ebola outbreak of 2014 is the worst in history and has spread at alarming rates. It has already reached other nations, with confirmed cases in Nigeria, Senegal, and even the United States and Spain.
Limited resources and hospital capacity have made it impossible for many to receive the care needed to save their lives. Many medical professionals have contracted the disease in an effort to help control it. But Ebola has proven to be beyond man’s control, unleashing widespread global fear.
Yet we know and believe that nothing is beyond the power and authority of God, and that only He is able to stop this disease. In this crisis we grieve not just physical death, but the death of thousands of souls unprepared for eternity. God alone holds the power to forgive and to heal (Psalm 103:3).
“Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave” (Psalm 107:19,20). If there is to be any end to this crisis, we know it can only come from the hand of God; and so we cry to the Lord not only for the healing of the body, but also the soul. We pray that the spread of Ebola would be stopped and replaced by an unprecedented spreading of the Gospel across West Africa and around the world.

Yvonne, That was a very touching summary of Ebola and the video brought tears to my eyes. For the past weeks God has rested this problem on my heart. This disease is a pestilence straight from the enemy’s camp to bring fear and destruction into the hearts of God’s people.
However, the plot has been revealed and so we take a united stand together and declare destruction on the works of Satan and pronounce them null and void. We release wisdom and knowledge to the scientists so that a cure will be found. We release strength to all the care givers; We release the mighty healing power of God on all those victims stricken with the diseases.
We release power, love and a sound mind to drive fear out of the hearts of the people. We release the covering of God on those who do not have the disease and we encourage them to take shelter in the secret place of God.
Finally but not least we release the peace of God which passes all understanding on all of us. Rest assure God will not allow the enemy to get the upper hand because he has already been defeated.

This is such a powerful prayer which I am confident that God will quickly honor. It is also prophetic and I receive it as God’s word to His people that we not be afraid but hold fast to the profession of our faith in Him and His promise to deliver all His people from the hands, snares and trap of the enemy. This deadly virus has instilled fear in the minds of many, especially the inhabitants of West Africa. Fortunately Nigeria has officially been declared Ebola free, but i still feel for some other countries that are still experiencing the effects of this monster. We pray that God in his infinite mercy, will liberate this countries from this disease.

As we know, Ebola has lately created a lot of misery for people around the world and specially West Africa, Nigeria, US and other countries. People are in constant dread of this deadly disease. The prayers are the only thing to rely on for emotional support. And the people (Doctors) who are treating the victims are the savior sent by God. I pray that God gives the much needed strength to the victims and their families and bless the doctors with abundance of love and guide them to conduct proper treatments. I also pray that this deadly disease gets eradicated from the world as soon as possible and bring those cheerful days back where no fear resided in our minds.

Good to have you back. It is easy to see why so many are afraid. But I hope that people can come to a place in their heart to realize that God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power love and a sound and healthy mind. Fear is not a spirit from God, it is from the enemy of our soul who want to see us defeated.
Needless to say, God is merciful and compassionate. He hears the cry of His people and believe there will come a time when this great affliction in the earth right now will be completely eradicated. Let’s continue to have faith and trust in God of our salvation.
