Don’t Give Up, You Were Chosen To Be A Champion!

“But you are a chosen race [generation], a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” ~ 1 Peter 2:9 ESV

Like Joseph, there is a dreamer inside of us. Just like David, there is a champion inside of us that overcomes any giant that we are up against.

Just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego you will walk out of the fire unscathed and without the burns that were intended to harm you. Like Daniel who was thrown into the lion’s den, you too will be delivered unharmed.

It is not coincidental and neither was it an afterthought for God, but you were specifically chosen to be/come a champion in spite of what it looks like or feels like right now.

The forecasters have predicted doom and gloom. The rate of unemployment is still at an all time high. Many are struggling to provide for themselves and their families the very basic necessities in life. Crime rate is up worldwide and the signs that we are in the last days are both glaring and troubling.

Still it is wise for us to remember at all times that we are chosen to be God’s royal priesthood, a nation called to be holy unto Him and a people who were created by Him for His own possession and purpose.

Let us all come together in a bond of unity and as a family with a common goal and purpose, trusting God that we will overcome all our difficulties and trials that we face.

Despite what some may say, family is still the fabric of our society. As parents we still have a responsibility to teach our children and train them up in a godly and morally acceptable manner.

We have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus and have been called out of the darkness and sins of the world to serve God and show forth His praises each day. We are God’s family. We are His children and He is our Heavenly Father.

So let us continue to persevere and to run the race with patience and look to Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. Don’t give up on God for He will not fail or give up on you. Trust Him and never doubt.

You were chosen to be a champion!
