Celebrity Tips and Tricks For A More Beautiful You

Since time immemorial, beauty has been a subject for debate. Consult the media industry and it will tell you that you are not beautiful enough since you don’t compare to so and so. Others will tell you that to be beautiful you need a flawless skin. Deep down you know you are beautiful. After all, the Bible tells us so. It says, “I will give thanks and praise to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” [Psalm 139:14]

However, the world doesn’t get to think so. It already has defined standards of beauty and that’s why you will hear people saying so and so is ugly. Mean people they are, if you ask me. How then can we expect to be successful and loved if we aren’t beautiful enough?

Most times you find that there are few things you can’t change as far as your physical attributes are concerned, for example your height. Now, that one is here to stay and there is nothing you can do about it.

People that never cease to surprise me are celebrities. How they manage to stay relevant and beautiful in this era is something that amazes me every day. They are criticized day in day out but still come back even stronger. Since the mentality of the people is not going away soon, there are a few celebrity tips and tricks that you can embrace, that celebrities have used to redefine standards of beauty. They include:

  1. People don’t define you

You define yourself by what you choose to think of yourself. People will forever have an opinion about others. If you let them define you, then you will never be able to be true to yourself. Take Madeline Stuart from Brisbane, Australia for example. Born with Down syndrome, the doctors said she could never be able to achieve anything. People said she wasn’t fit to be in public.

A decade years later, she is changing all that. An aspiring model, she is nothing short of beautiful and sexy. In her, the world gets to see that even people with Down syndrome can do all other things “normal”people do. Had she let people, define her, chances are she would have hidden herself and all that beauty gone to waste.

  1. You are Beautiful The Way You Are

We were all made in different shapes, sizes and complexion. There is little you can do about that. Why then do you allow people to judge you for something you have no control over? I tend to think that as long as you are healthy and comfortable in your own skin, then you are good to go.

Over the years, skinny people have been seen as the most healthy and beautiful. Truth be told, you can be skinny and not healthy. To think of it, most skinny people aren’t happy either. Ladies like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and Demi Lovato have ‘kept it real’ by being curvaceous.

They have made it easier for teens as they grow to appreciate their bodies how they are and not the way the society expects them to be. Recently, Demi Lovato said that she is now happier than she was a few years ago as a skinny starlet.

  1. Exercise is key

As much as you are encouraged to be comfortable in your own skin, you need to be healthy still. Exercising will help not only act as an anti aging remedy, but also keep you bursting with energy to perform effectively in your day-to-day activities and with controlled weight.

Thirty minutes of nothing but intense exercise will do you good more than you can ever imagine.  Also, if you are looking to lose some weight, it is one of the steps to take.

  1. Adopt a healthy lifestyle

A healthy diet is great in keeping you fit as you age. Also, some foods have been known to keep your skin glowing and act as anti aging remedies. Such foods include whole grains, green tea, avocados and such like. Keep at bay those foods that contain bad fats and excess sugar such as French fries, hot dogs, soft drinks etc.

They not only put you at risk of lifestyle disease (e.g. diabetes, obesity, cancer etc) but also take a toll on your skin making it age prematurely. If you are in need of a snack, opt for a healthy one such a sandwich with healthy vegetables. Drink enough water while at it. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen (with the correct SPF of course) whenever you step out. It will ensure your beautiful skin keeps glowing.

Conclusion

You are as beautiful as you tell yourself. Don’t expect anyone to come from nowhere and spill it to you. You don’t have to be of a certain complexion, shape or size to be beautiful. I know when God created all of us; He wanted us to be the way we are. Never change to please people who have little say in your life. Only change for the better not to please people. Above all, embrace a positive attitude. It is one of the anti-aging remedies no one will tell you about.

  1. Hi, Katleen and Yvonne

What a nice topic “To obtain more beautiful you” for a post!
Before I continued on this post, I thought it will more about how to use the make-up, clothing, etc. Glad that it is different and more about internal matter.

Nothing will make you more beautiful by changing our physiology and our mind. To change our physiology, we must start from healthy living style. When your cells get good nutrient, it will make the looks radiant outward.

Our mind must know that each of us is created differently and has different size and weight from others. Each of us is unique. We should not judge ourselves by general standard. If we have this self-love and self identity, our looks will attract many people.

    Excellence post!

    Happy Holidays!

    • Hi Stella

Great to have you over at EMB once again and so happy to hear that you enjoyed the post. Beauty is more about the inner man as opposed to the outward appearance and we have been taught to give more attention to inward being. Once that is done, beauty will certainly radiate on the outside.

      Have a blessed day/week. Seasons greetings. Cheers! 🙂 .

  2. Hi Kathleen

I love your points and I agree that the World standards are twisted on the meaning of beauty.

I don’t believe anyone is ugly but I am saddened when people do things to themselves just to look pretty to the World.

I marvel at how people try to get validation from others when they beautiful beyond measure.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Yvonne. How are you doing. Thanks for sharing Kathleen’s message with everyone

    • Hi Ikechi

It’s always a pleasure when you grace us with your presence. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Katleen’s post. I believe every individual must establish his/her own standard of beauty but certainly for me, beauty is about your inner man. The more positive our thoughts and what we allow in, the healthier and more radiant that person will be/come.

Have a great day. Have yourself a Merry Christmas and a bright and prosperous New Year 2016. Cheers! 🙂

  3. Hey Yvonne and Katleen,

When we talk beauty then most of the people think about the physical appearance. Though it is somehow true. But you can never compare the inner beauty of a person with the physical appearance.

The tips given in this post are great. When we talk about the fitness then exercises come at the top. Being happy is always a good thing to consider. It will keep your face glow.

    • Hi Ravi

So nice to see you here and for sharing your thoughts on this subject. I agree that many associate beauty with the physical outward appearance. Your point is well taken that we can never compare the inner beauty with the outward. I find that some of the most beautiful persons are those with a heart full of love, have a great positive spirit and are generous in their smile and in their giving. I would also add happiness which for me comes mainly from within.

Overall yes these are great tips and most definitely following and applying them daily will bring astounding results such as the glow 🙂 on one’s face.

Have a great day/week. Thanks for stopping by.
