Compassion International and the Journey To Sponsor A Child

I first became aware of Compassion International, a Christian child-sponsorship ministry, in March 2014. The thought of sponsoring a child resonated fresh within me as it has been my desire for years to do so, but had been unable to afford the cost.

Today, I believe that I am a step closer to fulfilling my dream by making the decision to become a volunteer child advocate and to blog for Compassion International for this cause. It is an opportunity for me to serve and hope that in the not too distant future, that I will sponsor a child through this ministry.

COMPASSION’S MISSION

Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.

Their 4C’s approach is this..

  3. Church-based
  4. Committed to integrity

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP

You can join the network to share compassion or for as little as $38/month, child sponsorship will allow you to provide children who are considered less fortunate, the opportunity to grow spiritually, physically, economically, socially and emotionally. When you sponsor a child with Compassion, you help to shatter the cycle of poverty. You change the world, one child at a time.

    This is absolutely awesome as I too desire to be able to support children in such a manner (and have for a while now). Talk about sowing seeds deep into the earth. Amazing!
