Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton is an American politician and currently the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party for the President of the United States in the 2016 election. Born October 26th, 1947 she is the first female candidate to have gained the status of being the presumptive nominee for any major party in American history.
Among her many notable accolades, Hillary has served as the 67th Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013; US Senator representing New York from 2001 to 2009; First Lady of the United States during her husband Bill Clinton’s Presidency from 1992 to 2000; First Lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981 and 1983 to 1992; practicing lawyer and law professor, activist and volunteer.
In 2014 Hillary took on a new role as grandmother to Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky. Then on Saturday June 18th, one day ahead of Father’s Day, her daughter Chelsea Clinton gave birth to Hillary’s second grandchild, Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky.
