How To Handle The Everyday Cares Of Life
“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” ~ Philippians 4:6-8
Whatever the occasion, the want, the difficulty or the challenge that you may be facing at the moment, God never intended for anyone of us to take on the cares of this world. He wants us to avoid anxious care and distracting thought about anything in life…for these things can cause our minds and our thoughts to drift away from Him and cause us to lose focus.
So what do you do when death comes knocking at your door and takes away your loved one? Where do you turn when the rent is due, bills to be paid, or there is one storm of life after another? As a sovereign and seemingly perfect antidote against perplexing care, God prescribes PRAYER.
We are to PRAY! Make ALL our requests known to God. I know this may be easier said than done but we are to observe stated times for prayer and pray upon every particular emergency. Whenever our spirit become burdened and the life situation we are faced with are perplexing and distressing, we must use our weapon of prayer to ease our minds and to seek God for direction and support.
His assurance is comforting. According to 2 Corinthians 12:9, His grace is sufficient and His strength is magnified in our weakness. Prayer releases the peace of God in our hearts. It keeps us from sinning in the trouble and from sinking under the pressure of it. His peace gives a sense of calm and acts as a sedative as it gives us an inward satisfaction far beyond what we could have ever imagined.
The Bible says, faith without works or the manifestation of that which we are believing God for is dead or of no effect. Therefore have faith in God and while we wait upon Him let us fill our minds with the things that are noble, good, authentic, credible, and things that will glorify and lift up the name of Jesus.
Avoid the negative things and yes, the negative people! Love them yes, just do not entertain them with the things that would cause us to lose hope, trust and faith in God. Instead, connect with the people of like minds – people who will motivate you, inspire you, encourage you and people who will hold you accountable for your actions! ♥♥♥ xoxo
