Word Of Inspiration: Believe In Yourself
“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; And he shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord..” (Isaiah 11:1-3a) Believe in yourself even when others don’t! Believe that God’s Spirit is resting upon you and that you have His Spirit dwelling within you. Believe that you have the creative ability, and the gifts of God to do what He has purposed you to do and ordained for your life. You are more powerful than you know for surely you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you. No one else on earth can use your ability but you – and you have what it takes to do it!
Let your confidence and hope be in God and not in man. Learn to recognize the people who will not let you down. Seek friends that will stir up your prayers and encourage your bible reading. Find those who will hold you accountable for what you do, and will believe in your dream just as much as you or even more than you do. Get out from among the bounds of limitations, rise above mediocrity and the standards of imitation. Imitation is limitation! Refuse to be a copy when God made you an original! The ground may look dry and parched right now but it is out of that dryness shall your newness spring forth! Your gifts will open doors for you beyond your imagination. And even if the vision should tarry, I dare you to believe God and wait for it, it shall come to pass!
It's nearly impossible to find experienced people on this topic, but you seem like you know what you're talking about!
Thank you for taking the time out to follow my blog and leaving comment. Merry Christmas!
Hey there! I've been following your weblog for some time now and finally got the courage to go ahead and give you a shout out from Humble Texas! Just wanted to say keep up the good work!
Hi Debra:
So great to have you once again. We are uniquely gifted with originality from God our Father, so that there is something that each one does that the other person cannot do. So true as you have said also, “great accomplishement comes when we follow the Shepherd instead of the herd.”
I am enjoying your blog as well. Blessings for a wonderful day my friend.
Hi Janelle:
Thank you for stopping by. There is absolute power in agreement! Peace and blessings for a great day!
Imitation is limitation. What a powerful statement, one I haven’t heard until now, but how true. We are uniquely created. If God made no two snowflakes, leaves, or fingerprints the same, then surely he expects us to fulfill our unique destinies – which can only be accomplished by following the Shepherd instead of the herd.
Great post EMoments! I agree with both Chris and Pastor Ava Baird's comment. To a large extent, I also think that FAITH in God must be the key element to believing in yourself. It takes courage and it takes grace, God's grace to cause anyone to believe in themselves when they are surrounded by so much negativity and criticisms.
Blessings to you and all your readers.
Absolutely Pastor Ava. I totally agree with all you have shared. It is like saying if one was called to run in lane one, but somehow feel that the person in lane 8 is having a better advantage so s/he decides in the middle of the race to switch over into someone else's place, can you imagine the chaos that would result in? As you have said, it takes one completely off course and off balance. We must trust God with what He has called each one is called to do and believe that each one have what it takes to get the job done with excellence.
Blessings!
Being yourself is a special gift all by itself, because not everyone can and will be themself. There will always be copies instead or originals when people do not want to go through something in order to be an original. Being a copy is quick and easy but the results are always substandard. Being an original means going through the process of becoming who God really created you and I to become, which will result in super potentials, heightened visions, enlarged territories and widened horizons. Being a copy robs one of their true identity thus playing the role of a replica, imitating the hand when you were called to be the eye of the body. This takes one completely off course and off balance. Being the original, walking in your true purpose and potentials with confidence gives the greatest satisfaction and self worth there can ever be. Glory be to God!!!
Hi Chris:
I am even more inspired by this your testimony. I do agree that there are times you just have to go with your decision/choice even if it is not the most popular or the direction in which the crowd is moving. It has worked for me every time that whenever I follow the leading of my heart and my faith in God, it has worked remarkably well in my favor!
I especially loved the opening statement that you made in the comment and also “Do what you love and the money will follow.” Continue to stand strong in the power of God's might and strength. Keep on doing what you love to do the best. I can testify that for the time I've been following your blog, you have been doing a great job. The messages are precise and they speak to me.
God bless you and have a great day!
Hi Yvonne:
If it wasn't for my faith in God, if it wasn't for the belief that HE was in my corner, if it wasn't for my KNOWING that he provided me with gifts to make my living with I could VERY well of wound up pursuing the money and NOT pursuing my bliss. I CERTAINLY was one who followed the adage:
Do what you love and the money will follow.
Much to the chagrin of family. My family and I were in constant conflict over what I was doing career wise. They didn't get it. They didn't understand how I was going to survive being in the book business. I didn't listen to them and I think that made things more challenging at times. I listened to MY God. I pursued my gift.
Now I'm doing what I wanted.
Now I LOVE what I'm doing.
And I won't work a day in my life.
I also think I've earned the respect of my family for NOT backing down. One of the things I KNOW SO WELL now is that upon our incarnation we our ALL given gifts from God. Those gifts manifest themselves early in our childhood, Those of us who understand that they are to be treasured, those of us who find a way to incorporate them into our careers are the ones who make joy. Those who don't, those who listen to others, not their hearts, not their souls, not God's voice directing them, those who follow the money wind up miserable. I believe it is those people who attempt to direct others to do the same. They want justification for what they did and the ONLY justification they can get is by seeing others as miserable as they are. Fortunately, there are some out there who buck that trend.
