Develop Your Own Personal Brand That Captures The Heart And Gain Lifelong Commitment

Any John Doe can walk off the street and present you with a deal, but it takes an unusually clever person with natural ability, faith, tenacity and perseverance to create a brand that not only captures the heart but gain loyalty and lifelong commitment. I believe, in developing and building your brand, it is important to remember that you are your brand and your brand represents you. Your brand is bigger than your business logo and it is more than just a catchy slogan . It is how your clients perceive you and what you have to offer to them. Daniel J. Boorstin once said, “An image [brand] is not simply a trademark, a design, a slogan or an easily remembered picture. It is a studiously crafted personality profile of an individual, institution, corporation, product or service.”

I know that at times I can be a stickler of details, just as much as I dislike following the trends. But like I said before I would rather get lost in the crowd while I develop my own style and become a trendsetter.

In the same token, whatever brand you are developing or have developed, it is best to build it that it delivers the unmet needs of the market, and that it is premium, even more so that it is special, thereby differentiating you from your competitors or, it is not going to sell.

I draw from the strength of Janene Keogh through this quote that says, “To uncover hidden category needs, don’t ask ‘How can I differentiate my brand from its competition?’ but rather ask ‘What are the unmet needs that no brand is addressing?”

What’s your brand?

Let’s take one example, Blogs. It is my observation from making frequent Blog hops that there are so many that I would dare say, the market is to the point of near saturation. There are those I call the ‘Big Bloggers’ simply because, through their hard work and perseverance, they have made their mark in Blogosphere.
For the most part, I believe they must have done the right things to develop and build their brand as evidenced by the huge number of followers they have. Mind you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I love and admire them all, some I even follow. They give great advice and excellent tips to Newbies such as myself [Blog just 1 year old] with the hope that we take the lessons and tips that helped them to gain success and that we not make the mistakes they once made.
Your theme is extremely important, and it must be well defined. I understand that there are colors that draw the readers, and gives peace as well a feel of belonging. These are colors that can brighten their day. At the same time there are colors that gives a ‘hit and miss’ experience and people are turned away.
While I encourage us as Bloggers, each one must teach one, I advocate that each one must brand him/herself  with your content. Know your audience and cater specifically to them. They will keep coming back, not so much that you have a fancy banner/header, a fancy background, and all of the other things that we sometimes think are ‘cute’ but they will keep coming back because they realize that you have consistently great content.

What’s the strategy

A great market strategy speaks volume. You must have one! Focus on the key areas that will make your brand unique. Let it be one that evolves and transforms over time with the built in ability for continuous improvement. Cost is a huge factor. Invest in your customers. Your customers may not have to pay to receive your contents but what is it costing them in time to come to your business/Blog and they not find anything that will get them coming back over and over again. Or worst case scenario, they left a comment and you did not respond. Think about that for a moment.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is your brand? Of course it’s important! If not, you would not be working that hard at it. Be willing then to make an investment not only in your time but also money to continually tweak and improve your overall presentation. The pay-off will be huge in the long run. It is definitely a win-win situation!

Let’s talk about it:

The word of God in Deuteronomy 8:18 declares that it is He [God] who gives us the power to get wealth and that the credit should be imputed to Him whenever we get it. God gives the creative ideas, the winning strategies, the plan that sells that will in turn result in higher traffic to your business and later on into your pot of gold (cash). Build your own brand, and you are primed for success!
