Prayer For Your Guidance And Direction
Dear God we praise, adore and bless your great name in all the earth. You are the one true living God, Creator of all things seen and unseen. You are the giver of this precious gift called life and for that we are grateful. Lord give us an understanding heart to judge and discern between good and evil, right and wrong, and to know what your will is for our lives. No more do we want to figure out this thing called life on our own so we seek you for wisdom and direction in all things that pertain to life and godliness.
Enlighten every dark place and let the spotlight of your word illuminate in our hearts to give us clear direction. Cause our understanding to become quickened in the things that we do not know, do not understand and in things that we cannot foresee. When we are confused or unsure which direction to take, let your answer come through peace and point us in the right way. Teach us to know your voice as our good Shepherd, and to follow you only. Grant unto us restraining grace so that whenever the stranger (Satan) speaks to us that we will ignore him and not follow him on the path to destruction and death.
Thank you for your Comforter, the Holy Spirit that teaches us all things and brings them back to our remembrance. Thank you for giving wisdom unto our mouth in the midst of adversities so that we know exactly what to say. We bless you dear God who gives counsel and instructions in seasons of indiscretion and may we be ever led by your Spirit in Jesus name, amen.
