Come Out From Among Them!

“Behold, I am doing a new thing: now it springs forth, do you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” [Isaiah 43:19]

It is approximately ten years now that I experienced the parting of my spiritual ‘Red Sea’ and a crossing through, and my journey to a new life in Christ began.

Prior to having that dramatic experience, I was broken and desperate. I constantly lived in fear, doubt and anxiety. My wounds were raw for the most part and living a life in pain had become my routine.

I did not know where to turn. I shared my story with many who gave me a listening ear, but at the end of it all, the wounds deep inside were left un-touched without any healing whatsoever and I would walk away feeling worse than I had before.

The cycle would start all over again where I wrapped myself in garments of guilt and shame just waiting for the next listener to come along with a strip of Band-Aid that often looked and sounded like this:

1. “I will keep you in my prayers.”
2. “Take it to the Lord in prayer sister.”
3. “God never gives us more than we can bear.”
4. “God promised to be with you.”

Come Out From Among Them into a Life of Grace and Hope 

You too may be experiencing emotional and physical pain and anguish much like I was in the years gone by. Your situation may be causing you to feel guilt and shame and perhaps you are thinking there is nothing left for you.

However, that is all a lie from the devil whose aim is not only to keep you in bondage and living a defeated life, but to get you to go on believing that your life has no purpose.

Realize though that God wants to heal you and set you free! His promise is that He will do a new thing in you. Surrender your will, your plan and your problems to Christ. Your life is not only valuable to God, it has purpose and meaning. 

Your breaking and your turning point comes at this juncture –

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” (2 Cor.6:17-18)

Get out from among joining hands with pagans and worshiping at heathen temples. Be not unequally joined with religions that are false, sinful, and idolatrous where people worship their leaders instead of worshiping the true and living God.

No man can serve two masters. You cannot serve God and serve the devil and his worldly ways at the same time. So be separated from them so that God can receive you and be a Father unto you.

May God continue to guide you and lead you into paths of righteousness and truth.
