Even Though You See Nothing, God Is Still Working
“Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” (1 Timothy 6:12 NIV)
Sometimes you do get the feeling that you are alone, and somehow, God has forgotten all about you.
It doesn’t matter how long you have been saved, or how Holy Spirit filled you may think you are speaking in some unknown tongue, occasions will arise when you and I will feel like we have been left out in the cold.

Scripture however reminds us that our journey through life as a Christian would be athletic and combative in nature.
So, do we give up when we encounter such situations? Do we just sit or lay by the wayside and tell ourselves we are not going any further?
No, we don’t.
Here is someone who had his own challenges in life and one can only imagine what Thomas Edison himself was experiencing at the time when he said, “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
Or perhaps, he was giving encouragement to the ones who were considering giving up.
Regardless, we are compelled by reason, such as those given by our Commander in Chief, to enter the Christian race and fight the good fight of faith.
Christ leads and we must in obedience follow where He leads. He is worth following. He never lead us onto the wrong path. He stands with us and beside us even in the fiercest of battles and the hottest of fires.
It may not look like it, but God is working on your behalf. Even in times when we do not have the strength to pray or the courage to face the battles, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us. “Likewise the Spirit also help our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought…” (Romans 8:26)
Seeing then that we have a great cloud of witnesses, [martyrs] let us run with patience the race [chosen for us]….Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
We are armed for the battle. We are protected in our fight being equipped with the whole armor of God which include the [girdle of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God] (Ephesians 6:13-17)
A believer’s mouth should always be filled with praise! The goal of our fight must urge us on.
“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I overcome and am set down with my Father in his throne.” (Revelation 3:21)

Thank you Yvonne for such an inspiring post. Indeed we need to press on even in trying times because, if we are going to succeed, giving up is not an option. We MUST press on victoriously to the end, knowing that God is on our side, He is our strength.
Hello Pastor Ava
So true that giving up is not an option. We have to trust God in every situation and give Him full control of our lives. Only then can we prove His faithfulness and experience victory. God bless you as always.
