A Prayer For Those Believing God For Their Healing

Whenever we find ourselves in the valley of sickness, our world seems like it is feeling apart. Even when it is a family member who is ill, our coping mechanism suddenly stops, nerves fry and the feeling of helplessness takes over. We are scared. We become desperate, hoping that our prayers in those critical moments are miraculously answered and we get the much-needed relief from pain and our healing comes suddenly.

The truth is, healing don’t always come in an instant. There are times that you and I would have to wait it out on God to bring relief and healing. This is the situation with a young man who I prayed for and I joined my faith with on Thursday, March 23rd, 2017 as we all believe God for complete and total healing of his 9 month old daughter who is suffering with a rare form of disease.

While in conversation with him he said to me, “My daughter don’t deserve this and if I could have taken a piece of me and given it to her just so that she could get better, I would. I love my daughter very much. I just want to be able to hold her in my arms.” As I stretched my hands across the table to hold his hands and to pray for him and his daughter, the outer layers crumbled and the young man wept uncontrollably! My heart was pierced, I felt his pain but I needed to be strong for that family and to pray for God to heal his daughter.

Prayer for Those Believing God for Healing

Father God, we praise you and honor you for you are sovereign and perfect in all your ways. Your ways are past finding out. As human beings we are limited by what we can do on our own but with you all things are possible to those who believe. God you are the greatest physician and the ultimate healer who will bring relief from pain and sickness for all those who are believing and waiting on you for their breakthrough. Father God there is absolutely nothing too hard for you to do and truth is earth has no sickness, sorrow or pain that you cannot heal. In the twinkling of an eye, you can heal.

Forgive us for carrying around the burdens of sickness, and because of our sinful nature to want to take matters into our own hands, we fail to call on your name, and to call on you for assistance. It is not your will for any to suffer or to perish under the perils of sickness or anything else for that matter, but that all those who are burdened and heavy laden should come to you and you will give them rest.

We pray God that your healing virtues and your river of grace will flow through sick bodies today to bring about healing and recovery of sight to the blind. We pray for those who are dealing with depression, chronic illness and rare forms of disease to which doctors have no prescription for or have given a prognosis that only add to the unspeakable pain that is already felt. We pray for those dealing with all forms of terminal illness such as cancer. We remember those with heart and lung diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, handicap, kidney diseases and those on life support [name your illness here] and ask Lord for a miracle today.

By the stripes Jesus took upon His body and His piercing and crushing death upon the cross, the blessing of healing is ours! (Isaiah 53:5) By faith we claim it and wait for the manifestation of healing in the earth. Your word tells us that jesus Himself is touched by the feelings of our infirmity. Where faith is weak, increase it Lord so that we can boldly an confidently say we believe the report of the Lord that says we are healed from the crown of our head to the soles of our feet.

Fill each heart with hope and as we linger in your presence each day, give us the strength, grace of patience and courage to wait on you in Jesus name, amen.
