Often times I get the inspiration from scripture verses to write in a poetic form, with the hope that it would tell the story of what I experience each day in relationship with our Heavenly Father. It’s been a phenomenal experience, an amazing journey over the years I would say. It’s a total surrender to one who I’ve never seen with my natural eyes, but through the eyes of faith, I believe that God exists! He is life, but larger than life itself. I believe that He is the supreme being – the one true living God who created all things (visible and invisible) and that He alone is the final disposer of all things.
The Bible says we’ve all been given a measure of faith and we have the ability through the word of God to allow it to grow each day. That being said, I bless you with this poetic expression of my faith in God – one which I wrote approximately six years ago as I was having one of those divine encounters:
“Oh what sweet love affair my Heavenly Father whenever you are near
Your air like sweet perfume fills every corner of my room..
You wake me up each day, with a breath of life
It’s new mercy my way.
You teach me to run, you teach me to fly
And you teach me to free the person inside.
You touch my heart, my body and my mind
What great peace, fullness and joy in you that I find.
Leaning on you, I feel more secure.
Trusting in you dear Jesus my blessings are sure.
There is none to compare with you my Lord –
dominion and authority, you have over all!
Faithful and true you are to your word,
never to leave me lonely when I made you my one and only.
In your presence I feel loved and protected,
when other times with my friends I wondered, am I accepted?
But you Father, you lay me down to a safe place of rest,
you give me such a thrill to think, my God,
my Heavenly Father, you LOVE me
and you know what’s best for me!”

Scripture:
“Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life that I may take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have the power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” (John 10: 17-18)

Thanks Janelle. Continue to be encouraged to have a closer walk with Him each day.
Very inspirational article! Love it…I am encouraged to seek God more, to have a closer and more intimate relationship with Him.
Hi Chris:
I appreciate you stopping by…so true what you have said. Not only do I find quotes helpful but pictures do too. It's true that a picture is worth a thousand words…the origin of many of my articles started by me seeing the picture first, then I write what I believe it is saying. Blessings!!
Hi Yvonne:
MOST of my blog columns come from inspirational quotes, either from Spiritual texts, Buddhist texts and/or other inspirational texts. Occasionally, I'll write something w/no quote attributed but like you, I need a starting off point and that's where the quotes I find help me.
