Gratitude Brings Meaning And Perspective

“Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.” ~ Psalm 136:26

It is gratitude Thursday for us here on the blog. Today, we give thanks to God. We look all around us and creation speaks in various languages. We behold the splendor of His majesty. We are blessed beyond our wildest imagination.

As we pause to think of God’s love towards us, it surpasses our human understanding to know that a Holy God can love us, even when we do not have it all together. Quite unlike human love, with God’s love there are no strings attached and His love for us is unconditional.

It is God’s love that caused Him to give up His only Son as a living sacrifice to redeem us from the curse of the law of sin and death. And by the shed blood of Jesus we are saved and can enjoy the blessings of abundant life on earth and life everlasting. So for all of these many wonderful blessings, we say thank you Lord.
