God’s Got You On His Radar – Trust Him!

source

“I was regretting the past and fearing the future. Suddenly my Lord was speaking: “MY NAME IS I AM” He paused, I waited. He continued, “When you live in the past with its’ mistakes and regrets, my name is not I WAS. When you live in the future, with the problems and fears, it is hard, I am not there. My name is not I WILL BE. When you live in this moment, it is not hard, I’m here. MY NAME IS I AM.”…..A heartfelt apology can’t change the past, but it can brighten the future! LORD FORGIVE ME FOR MY UNBELIEF.”  (Michael Curtis) It was not luck and chance. It was not a coincidence either that as I opened up my facebook page today that this friend’s post would “pop right up into my face to slap me back into reality.”

A huge lump developed into my throat. I gulped immediately as I tried to swallow the guilt and the shame that I felt from me not trusting God the way I normally would do. I know I should have. Tears welled up into my eyes. Everything in the room was suddenly blurry…obscured by the tears that spread like a white sheet over my eyes.

My day was just not going the way that I had planned it. Moments prior, I realized how anger and frustration had slipped in to my room. And so as my spirit man gasped for what seemed to be it’s last breath (death through unbelief) like a first responder would through CPR to resuscitate you, I said, “Speak to me Lord. Forgive me for my unbelief.”

It is quite natural for us to respond with fear when we are thirty thousand plus feet in the air and we come up against bad weather and turbulence, especially that the aircraft took off in excellent weather conditions. It is also a natural human instinct that we are a bit ‘iffy’ about things we haven’t seen before. We are thrown off by the things that don’t look like us, act like us, or move like us. If we find ourselves in a place that we’ve never visited before, we are constantly looking at our maps, if we have one, or we keep looking at every sign post, hoping to get to the place that we set out on that journey to go on.

My dear EMoments reader, I plug this in as a reminder that no matter where we go in this world, God is there! You and I are on His radar. His Global Positioning System (GPS) never fails, it never malfunctions and it needs no service nor repair. Just because my day did not go as I had planned for it to be, did not mean that anything was wrong with the way it was turning out to be.

Did I deserve what I got or how miserable I felt in that moment of tantrum because things didn’t go my way? To some extent, yes. You may see it differently but, I still stick to my yes. (wide grin on my face) Why? I was disobedient! I quenched the Spirit of God who had already told me, “trust God with it.” I needed to trust God like He had told me earlier on when I realized there was a shift from my original plans and days’ schedule.

My final thought: God’s word says, “For he that soweth unto his own flesh (old Adamic mindset/way of thinking, sowing to please sinful nature) shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit (new Adam way of thinking /exercising faith and hope in God) shall of the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:8 ASV)

Trust God no matter what. You are constantly on His radar and like a mother hen watches over her baby chicks, so it is the Lord watches over us. Blessings!

  4. My routine prior to writing is pretty simple – I begin to jot down notes, and ideas etc as they come to mind sometimes days in advance of writing. Sometimes I get the title first days ahead of my writing and that too I jot down. A good opening statement/sentence from that title helps me to get the thoughts flowing. I believe in prayer so I pray before I write and that helps me to gain the focus, to clear my thoughts and to allow a clear channel through which everything else flows for what I am writing about at the moment. Hopes these ideas help

I would consider doing an article one day about this one day

  5. First off I want to say terrific blog! I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Appreciate it!

  10. Absolutely true Janelle..indeed God never sleeps nor slumber. Blessings!

  11. Minister Wilson…it is so good to know that we are forgiven even when we do not feel so for we walk by faith and not by (feelings) sight. There are times when guilt of my past sins tries to pop up its ugly head but I am grateful to God for his mercy and tender love reassuring us that HE has indeed forgiven us. I agree with you…yesterday is past and gone, tomorrow is not here as yet but today is a gift that is why it is called “The Present”. Wonderful post indeed.

  12. God's love is truly amazing. He neither sleep nor slumber and therein lies the comfort that we need not fear, because He watches over us all of the time. Beautifully written post.

  13. Hi Joyce, God just keeps on blowing my mind every time I think about His goodness towards us. The storm may be raging, the flood waters may be rising, but yet He stands on His word. “I've got you!” It all makes sense when Isaiah said in ch 43, when thou pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee…God's eyes are moving to and fro in the earth to watch over us. It goes right back to trusting Him! Blessings!

  14. It is good to remember how I am always in God's radar, even when things go bad, even in bad weather which is what I have experienced these past few days. The threat of non-stop rain and floods that reach even the rooftops of houses in the country where I live has gripped me with fear. Only the hope of knowing God loves us and that He is there has comforted me during those dark times. It is still raining hard here, but so far, God has led us through.

  15. A warm welcome to you Miss Pepeye…so happy to have you join the conversation here on EMoments. Sometimes we go through experiences and we wonder, am I the only one? But no we are not alone and no need to feel bad as God's heart is touched by the feelings of our weaknesses and He will not condemn us in any way. He brings the answer through His word and He ensures that we are well fed and watered by it. God bless you and continue to be encouraged in your faith in God to know that it will grow over time to much faith.

This is such a beautifully written post and hits close to home especially as I've been begging God lately to help my faith and forgive my unbelief. I keep on reminding myself that God will do what he said he will do and he is able to do above and exceedingly beyond what i think or ask.
