“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins…..Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” ~ (Matthew 1: 21, 21)

May the joy of Christmas fill your heart and lives. May the peace that the birth of Jesus brings overshadow you and fill your hearts and homes. While we celebrate with family and friends – the Christmas Tree, gifts, food, fun, laughter, let us not forget the real reason and the meaning of Christmas Day.

The birth of Christ over 2000 years ago heralded a new era. A time of peace, hope and God’s promise/s to us as humanity. It was and still is a remarkable evidence of God’s love and care for us. It is God’s best gift to us. It is as the scripture says, JESUS, Emmanuel – God with us.


What does God require of us in return? Surely, we give gifts to our friends and loved ones, but what is the best gift we can give to Jesus? It is certainly not one we can place under the Christmas Tree – it is the giving of our hearts to Christ. A heart of obedience to Him and a heart filled with His love.

To all of us, MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Stay safe, be merry, be happy and let Christ be the center of it all.
