Pleasing God requires faith, not in man, but in God Himself. Why faith? That’s because, if you and I are going to have it, then we must be able to see it in advance of the manifestation. We must put what are saying into action and take a leap of faith. Faith can move mountains (problems and difficulties) that we face out of our lives. Faith is what we can see in the spiritual realm when all the lights are turned off and everything is pitch dark in your life. Faith is the radar that can see through any thick fog and the darkest of your cloudy days. It is not about worrying but about believing that when you open up your mouth to speak and words are released into the causal realm, you shall have whatsoever you asked or prayed for.
Every moment of the day is an act of faith. It is something that brings meaning and purpose to our very existence here on earth. For most of us our faith may be strong, and for others it may hang on the thinnest of threads. Regardless, we need it to go on. We all have been given a measure of faith. We hold on to that faith that God created all things, that He hung the moon, sun and the stars for a purpose and that they will not fall from the sky on us. It is by the power of faith we hope to accomplish every enduring task we face each day. We hold on to that measure of faith that you and I could not wake ourselves up and that there is a reason for actually getting up in the morning and for participating in life.
True there are times when our energy is sapped from our consciousness and we don’t feel like moving let alone to do anything meaningful. But as Elizabeth Barrett Browning once said, “The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today. Let us move forward with strong and active faith.” Right on the money, I would say to this!
Doubt and fear block our dreams and brings about an untimely death. Faith gives life, meaning and hope to our dreams and aspirations. The secular have faith and they put their faith in their god that all things will remain true to form and success and prosperity to them will be the only end result of what they are believing for. So it is, we as the church must also find the courage and strength to place all our faith and trust in the one true living God that we serve.
Be blessed, encouraged and empowered! Faith in God equals endless possibilities, great potential and power to do and achieve the unthinkable! Take a leap of faith!
