Word Of Inspiration – You Are Meant To Shine

The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. (Proverbs 4:18) You are the Light of the world. Let your light shine so that others may see your good works and glorify God the Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16) As carriers of the ‘Light of the World,’ you and I are meant to shine! We were created to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is true also that as we let our own light shine through, without the realization of it, we give others power and the permission that their light may shine forth as well.
The Light in you is to guide your path and to show you the straight and narrow path! That same Light is necessary to make things grow! Without Jesus the Light in the world we would be like the blind groping around in the darkness. He is the true Light of the world, (John 8:12) and although He is not in the world physically today, yet He sheds light upon our minds to help us to understand, and to give purpose and true meaning to our life. He is the Light of all men.
In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” Jesus is the Source of Light. He is the greater Light, we are His representatives and the carriers of it. Whatever we do and say, must be a reflection of Him. There can be no shady or grey areas. It is necessary for us to trust in the Light while we have it so that we may become sons of the Light. (John 12:36)
How is the light of Jesus being represented in and through you today? Your light ought not be hid! Your light is to light the world, to touch lives, to seek out those that are lost and hopeless, broken and torn. Let your light be the candle, and not only are we to let it shine but let it illuminate in some heart and soul today and everyday of our lives.
