You Are Surrounded With Infinite Possibilities Of Choice: 6 Ways To Maximize Them

“When a scene is being shot, it is very difficult to know what one wants it to say, and even if one does know, there is always a difference between what one has in mind and the result of the film.” ~ Michelangelo Antonioni. Every waking moment that you and I spend, we are surrounded with endless possibilities of choice! The possibilities are numerous once we decide to act and not react. Opportunities will always present themselves.

We look  through the telescopic lenses of our mind and our subconscious being immediately takes a snapshot of the very first image that it sees. The image that is first captured, is simply an imitation and certainly not the original image of what the Creator wants us to have and believe in Him for. As children of God, we must believe that there are no limitations and no boundaries in the things that surrounds us. Not only do we have the promise of infinite possibilities, we have the power to make the right choices!

Making the right choices certainly calls for having the right mindset – a mindset that will help us to make the best use of all the resources that are available to us. We have the resource of time, our energy, and our efforts. And by all means we must use them in the most effective and efficient way to bring about positive and lasting changes. It is making the best of what we have rather than trying to do everything and to be everything.

The journey…

The journey began ever since you and I were little children growing up in this world. Our young minds captured the first thoughts and the first images, some sad to say, not very good. They were quickly taken to the ‘dark room,’ then developed, and a closer examination of it, small as we were, and good or bad as those images were, we made one of two choices, (a) to store them in the archives for later use because they evoked excitement and joy upon seeing the endless possibilities they possessed OR (b) we, not knowing the difference, made a choice not to place the image/s in the ‘G’ file and to delete them as reject as not being good for us.
It is painfully sad that many for what ever reason are now feeling the repercussions of choosing the latter category. But you have a choice and in order to recognize the consciousness of the infinite possibilities that you are surrounded with, accept that your mind, housed inside your brain, is your instrument. The time is now that you learn to be its master and not its slave!
Choose to let go of the haunting memories of your childhood and even the photo shots you have taken in your adult life that is still bothering you and embrace each new day with the thought that something wonderful is going to happen in your life.
You will never be able to see the beauty and the true potential that lies within the original image that carries in it the fullness of your future and for you to start the next chapter of your life if you keep on looking at the imitation and re-reading the negative imprints of that bad shot. It is just as the word says, negative!

Take full control of your thoughts

Having the sense of possibilities is the beginning of all things possible. Mankind may be limited by the power which the Creator gave to him, but certainly with God, all things are possible. Our brain may not have the most attractive shape and size, but by all means it traps and carries within itself infinite possibilities. It is an ever flowing fountain of thoughts and promises that can be fulfilled, if only you and I put our time, energy and efforts into making the dreams a reality.
The question is, where do we begin?
  1. Make a conscious effort and a deliberate choice to be happy. Be happy for no reason. Even when it seems like there is chaos, clutter and confusion around you, choose to be happy! You may also take a peak back into this article I shared recently about My Top 12 Best Kept Secrets Of What Makes Me Happy Embracing a life of happiness opens you up to possibilities.
  2. Make a choice to do some spring cleaning and to remove the negatives images that you have been storing in the deep sub-conscious levels of your mind through a series of affirmations. (a) “I choose to forgive [name/s] and leave behind the hurtful things of my past.” (b) “I apply the blood of Jesus to every fibre of my being and declare that every negative image is flushed out never to return again.” (c) I affirm that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”……go on and add more…
  3. Never quit! Don’t give in and never give up! There is no such thing as an ending or that ‘I can’t, just a beginning!’ So starting right now make a choice to take that word quit from your vocabulary, erase it from your mind and replace it with the word ‘begin.’ The best day of the rest of your life, starts right now.
  4. Know how to demand with all of your might, soul and strength that which you desire and that which will bring you on the path to limitless possibilities. Surround yourself with the positive, not the negative; and things that are praise worthy and not shameful; the good and not bad; the beautiful and not the ugly; things that are credible, authentic and noteworthy.
  5. Be grateful for the little things in your life. Start small, and expect greater things to happen as time goes by. The more you are in a state of gratitude, thanking God each day for the little things, the more you will attract things to be grateful for.
  6. The enemy of our souls finds work for those who remain in a state of idleness and engage themselves in a cycle of negative thinking. So always be busy with something meaningful. There should never be a dull moment. Give no place to the Devil.

My final thoughts

Connect with your subconscious being and let that person who is there waiting to exhale, that s/he have a purpose in life. There is no limit to what you can do. Knowing what is most important to you will help to steer you in the right direction. Remember, opportunities will always present themselves. Choose wisely. It is not so much about trying to be and do everything as it is about making the best of what we have. You have the freedom to choose!
What do you think? Has this post provoked your mind to go out and do the impossible?
