#2014WTWSeries January 11 – More Reasons To Celebrate!

It’s been a really fantastic week and I am so excited about the week that was series 2014 [#2014WTWSeries]! There were many positive outcomes, reasons to celebrate, an end of week send off luncheon for one of my staff who went off to join his fiance’ as they have their 1st baby (yeah!!), and so many good reads around on blogosphere! I am also giving thought to turning the WTWS into an ‘EMB weekend block party’ where fellow bloggers can actually link up here on EMB. The highlight of the party is for you to showcase your best posts for that week. Sounds like a great idea, doesn’t it? Well, more details to follow. In the meantime, here’s the week’s review:

On the Blog

The week began with a prayer asking God to lead us and to give us the grace to follow Him along the path that He chooses for us. That spoke to me on such a personal level because at the moment, a very close family member and I were touched by a wave of discouragement and a weight of heaviness.
Following that, I jumped right into my blog’s 365 one word ‘persevere’ through a post entitled Grace To Persevere To The End. The central theme/idea was developed from this scripture:
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, v2) fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)

I ended the post with this quote from C. S. Lewis that says: “God knows our situation; He will not judge us as if we had no difficulties to overcome. What matters is the sincerity and the perseverance of our will to overcome them.”
EMB has shared posts in the past on gratitude but on Thursday there was a formal launch of its weekly gratitude series through a post called A Life Filled With Gratitude. The main highlight of the week past was EMB’s 2nd anniversary. Just in case you missed it, check it out It’s My 2 Year Blog Anniversary
