The Power Of Your Thoughts Determines Strength Of Character
The mind is a very powerful thing. It has capabilities beyond our natural and human actualization processes with thoughts that can either be constructive or destructive. These thoughts can either make or break you. They begin to develop from as early as when a child is in his or her mother’s womb. These thoughts are not just simple imaginations.
They begin to take on patterns, shapes and mental pictures of what should or should not be, which have the power to keep you either in bondage for the rest of your life or to liberate you where you can begin to live the abundant life that God has promised through His Son Jesus Christ.
The bible teaches in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he….” which means, you become whatsoever you are thinking. Your thoughts are your own creation and eventually your character begin to take on the patterns, shape and size of your thoughts.

If you are someone who is always dreaming big things to take place in your life, sooner or later, they will begin to manifest in your life. On the other hand, if you are someone who is always having negative thoughts, seeing yourself as less than, and as someone who is not going to make it, then that is what your life becomes.
You can shape your world by the thoughts that you have each day
The thoughts must be in line with God’s word. Anything short of that could mean disaster. That is how powerful your thoughts are. Contrary to what some may think, God does not impose upon us anything hard or unreasonable, but that which is altogether agreeable to the principles of right reason. That is a reasonable service which we ought to be ready to give a reason for.
Your mind must be renewed for God
This is emphasized by, “Be you transformed by the renewing of your mind.” It means conversion, sanctification and a renewing of the mind. A change of not just the substance, but of the qualities of the soul. The renewing of the mind is the renewing of the whole man, for out of it are the issues of life.
So take charge of your life and do not allow every thought to come in. Reject the thoughts that tend to make you feel depressed, to label you with a standard of less than and accept only the thoughts that are praiseworthy, thoughts of joy, victory, success and peace. Always remember, you are the character of your thoughts.

Awesome stuff, Yvonne. Truly. I put this post into action immediately upon reading it. I shared with a friend and we committed to changing our perspective on a few things that were affecting us. Spiritual warfare to be sure and I thank you for this timely piece – was just the nudging I needed.
God bless you!
Hi Cristina, It is amazing how God works to accomplish things in the earth that bring glory unto Him. I literally had to put aside the post that was actually scheduled for today in order for this one to be slotted in. More glory unto Him for the the grace He poured out through change and transformation in both of your lives. God bless you!
