Prayer When You Need Peace and Comfort

Almighty God, we praise and thank you for this blessed day that you have made. We are grateful that we have life eternal through your Son Jesus Christ, who is the hope of glory, and the soon coming King. We turn to you our Creator, our Heavenly Father and the God of Peace and Comfort.

We declare your word that you did not give us a spirit of unrest, fear or anxiety, but you have given to us a spirit of power, and of love, and a sound and peaceful mind. (1 Timothy 1:7)

We thank you for causing your peace to abide in us and to rule our heart each and every day. (Col.3:15) May you cause us to continually dwell in peaceable habitations, and in quiet resting places all the days of our lives. (Isaiah 32:16)

As Jesus rebuked the wind and raging sea, and commanded themto be at peace, He has also given us the authority to decree peace upon the storms of our lives. We therefore decree and declare, “Peace, be still,” to every disturbance and storm in our lives. (Mark 4:39)

May the Lord continually lift up His countenace upon each one of us and give us peace as He keeps our mind upon things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, things that are of a good report, and things that have virtue and praise, in Jesus name, amen. (Numners 6:26; Phil. 4:8)
