Prayer for Spiritual, Church and World Leaders
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he.” ~ Proverbs 29:18 KJV
Dear God, according to your word you said to pray for all leaders and those who are in authority over us so we come to you on their behalf. We pray dear God for your guidance as they continue to assume the responsibilities of the office that they have been chosen to lead in. May you give clarity in the vision and grant strategies whereby they may skilfully execute the mandate of the office becaue without a vision that is supported by your word, society quickly spins into moral chaos and spiritual decay. We pray for mercy and forgiveness for each one. Where they have failed you and the people they lead, we pray for mercy and restoration.
Wipe out greed, corruption, scheming, wicked devices, dishonesty, vain thoughts, illegal and underhanded activities from among them and let them lead in righteousness, truth and integrity. We pray that you will according to your word raise up men of standard, Godly men with the knowledge and the understanding of your word who seek after your heart and who will uphold your laws and statutes.
In times when they grew weary, Lord we ask that you surround them with strong spiritual support and Godly people who will encourage them in their work each day, to do good and not evil, to love you first with all their heart, soul, might and strength and to love others as they love themselves.
May your word go forth as a two-edged sword to pierce through darkness, to destroy satanic weapons, to tear down strongholds of the enemy, to root up all forms of evil as they allow your word to heal the sick, give comfort and strength to the weak, give hope to the hopeless and to restore faith in your people where it may have been lost through the onslaught of diabolical and demonic forces.
We pray for their immediate and extended families. Cover them under your blood, build hedges of protection around them and erect firewalls that will bend and destroy every fiery dart of Satan. Bless them with your favour, kindness and your mercy in Jesus name we pray. Amen!

Amen! Prayer is important. Let us continue to pray one for the other. We are encouraged by the word of God to pray without ceasing.
