Prayer – Trusting God While We Wait For A Breakthrough

In times of test, trial and adversity, we draw our strength from you dear God. Many today are saddened with grief and hearts are terribly broken over (a) the tragic and senseless death of their loved ones from the crash of MH17 [Malaysia airline], (b) the growing Israeli-Hamas intense fighting that are taking innocent lives and displacing many (c) the notorious brutality of ISIS against Christians [to convert to Islam, pay fines or face death] in Syria and other parts of the Middle East and (d) the many other crimes and growing unrest that are taking place world wide.

We pray for strength and courage for your people even in the midst of these adversities. May they not loose faith in you dear God. Comfort the grieving ones who are now mourning the loss of their loved ones and trying to make sense of the brutality and indignity against human lives, especially their loved ones. Blanket them in your mercy O God and let your vehicle of grace carry each one through.

We are confident of your promise that you have made to us in your word. We declare that our times and seasons are in your hands. We reinforce the hedge of protection that you have erected around each one of us through divine providence, the blood of your Son Jesus and by your majestic power.

We glory in our tribulations, knowing that the testing and trial of our faith works patience, patience experience and experience hope. And we know Lord that there is no shame or embarrassment by hoping and trusting in you. Teach us to wait and at the appointed time breakthrough and victory over the enemies will come. We are assured that vengeance belong to you dear God and because you are the only righteous judge, justice will prevail and the perpetrators will without a doubt face the outpouring of your wrath and indignation in Jesus name, amen.
