20 Encouraging Bible Verses For These End Time Days

The world today is overrun by polytheism, nepotism, greed, and a struggle for position and power.

With each passing day, we see prophecy being fulfilled and things that the Bible spoke of are now coming to pass. We ought not be ignorant of the times because clearly we living in the last days. The writer of Matthew 24:6-8 wrote:

“And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you not be troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

Where there is the beginning of sorrow, it implies that at some time or another we all need encouragement. Not only are we to encourage ourselves in spite of what’s happening in our own situation, God requires of us to be light in the world and to be a source of hope, comfort and consolation to each other.

These next few Bible verses have encouraged me and lifted my spirit in dark times and it is my hope that they will do the same for you today.

  1. Hi Yvonne,

Thank you for sharing these scriptures. We’ve also been through some dark times, and if I can highlight especially one of these scriptures that you mention, it will be your number 13 – To trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean unto your own understanding.

There were so many times when we just couldn’t understand. We couldn’t understand why things happened, and we had no idea what to do about it. But trusting in the Lord kept us standing and we came through. You think you’ll never make it through, yet a week goes by….a month goes by……and even a year, and you look back and you got through it. With many things, I still can’t explain how we got through it, but we did.

    Have a blessed day,

    Jaco.

    • Hi Jaco

So good to see you today. You know I can totally relate to what you are saying about having to go through things and never getting the understanding of why you even have the experiences to begin with. It is hard because you come to a place where you begin to question how a loving and merciful God could allow such deep suffering of humanity. It’s about trust though…learning to trust God when you don’t understand what He is doing and to know that in the end all things will work for your good. Thank God for His saving grace and His mercy.

Have a wonderful weekend. Cheers! 🙂
