“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. v8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” ~ Psalm 138:7-8 KJV
Ever so often we find ourselves in despair and trouble that beset us along the way. But despite that harsh reality, the assurance that we have in God’s word, we cannot find it anyplace else in the world.
God’s word gives us hope, the audacity to hope for a bright[er] future. His word brings light into our darkest moments. It heals and binds up the wounds of the wounded spirit and it mends broken hearts. So powerful is His word that God exalts His word above His own name.
So therefore those who live for Christ can have boldness and confidence knowing that even when his/her spirit is about to sink into the depths of despair and discouragement, God will at some point in time revive him/her and make it easy and cheerful under troubles.
God will perfect the things that concern us. Whatever work He has begun He will complete it. In the meantime our duty and our responsibility is to offer up praises unto God.
Our praise to Him must never cease. While the praise we offer up to Him does not change the present day trouble,it is guaranteed that when we open up our mouth and release praises unto Him, blessings must come down and overtake us.
Encourage yourself in the Lord knowing that whatever your situation may be right at this very moment, your praise is the key that unlocks your deliverance.
Lord we are grateful to you for this a new day and for giving us the audacity to hope and trust in your word. We praise you for your goodness, loving kindness and your tender mercy that we find new every day. Uphold us with your right hand of righteousness and grant us renewed peace and confidence that although our trials and test may cause a delay in our journey, we are not ever denied of your grace of strength and deliverance and your virtue of faith that you are bringing to perfection all that you have begun is us. In Jesus name, amen.
