You Were Born To Be Blessed

Whatever the color of your skin, your ethnic background, your religion, or your denomination, the difficulties and challenges in your life, the many times you may have stumbled, fallen and got back up again, I dare you to believe that you were born to be blessed! Your job may be paying you well and then there are those who struggle being paid minimum wage, or may be still trying to find a job, still I say that is not what defines you nor the extent to which you are blessed. In support of the point as is headlined in this article, I share with you these words from the Apostle Paul:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world,..” [Ephesians 1:3-4]…

Know that it pleased God even before the foundation of the world to secure your blessings and your inheritance in Christ. What you do with it once you have accessed it, is entirely up to you. God has taken it even a step further, that in addition to what He has already provided for us well in advance of our arrival, He has also given to us the power to get wealth for the duration of time that we are here on earth. He is our Heavenly Father.

A similar preparation goes on when a mother is expecting to give birth to her newborn baby. And if you’ve had the opportunity to observe, you will realize how far in advance of the expected date of delivery that she and her family begin to prepare for the baby. The household gets extremely busy. The baby’s wardrobe is selected. If it’s a girl, the color theme is pink. If it’s a boy, the color theme is blue. Provision is made for where the baby will sleep. The glowing excitement goes on and on. Do you buy a bassinette or a all in one crib that the child can grow into as he/she grows into the different stages in life? College funds are set up at an early stage. Whatever the choice made, the point is, he/she was born into blessings, and already chosen to be blessed.

The fact that you and I are alive today, breathing the breath of God, we are blessed. We may look around us and see a lack of good governance and big public spending of some sort, economies and healthcare systems in a state of dis-repair, but the truth of the matter is about us as children of God is that, all things are working together for our good. The realization of how blessed we all are comes not through what we can see with our natural eyes, it is through the eyes of faith that we are able to experience the richness and the fullness of His grace. I dare you to believe like never before that God is working all things out for your good and for His glory. Indeed, you and I were born to be blessed!
