Trust Him Even When You Can’t Trace Him
“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” ~ (Psalm 34: 18-19) Recently I have been getting these nudges that would cause me to push aside regular articles and post a prayer instead. I do not want to make light of it or ignore my deep intuition because I understand the way that God works, there is no distance in prayer. God knows us more than we know ourselves. He understands our thoughts from afar off. He knows when there is difficulty in our lives even when we choose to keep it to ourselves instead of sharing it with others.
Many times we become saddened by situations, we cry and we water our bed with tears. God sees and He understands. And while I may not be the one that is hurting today, I know there is someone out there who is. So in obedience, here is my prayer:
Father God we humbly come in the name of Jesus, the name that is higher than any other name – that name to which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords. We proclaim you as the one true living God, we declare you holy and worthy of all our praises – from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same.
We stand on your word dear God that the battle is not ours but the battle is the Lord’s. We stand on your promised word that no weapon formed against us shall be able to prosper and every tongue that rise up against us, are already condemned. We refuse to sink back into mediocrity but we arise to the light on our path that has come to lead us into paths of righteousness, peace and the promised hope for excellence and greatness in you dear God. We affirm that we will always set you dear Lord before us. And because you go before us, we shall not be moved. We stand on the solid Rock, Jesus. All other ground is sinking sand.
We wait upon you dear God for your timing. And through our prayer, confession, worship and in your word, you renew our strength and cause us to rise up from the place of despair like the wings of an eagle. We stand confident that through your strength and encouragement, you enable us to go forward each day, and not become weary or discouraged. Thank you for causing us to walk by faith, and not give in or give up. We cast down every spirit of heaviness that comes our way and we put on the garment of praise. We bless you and worship you now and evermore, in Jesus name, amen.
