An Open Thank You Letter To…..

Today’s gratitude post is somewhat different. It is written just for you. It is a thank you letter to the one you often refer to as ‘Me.’ Why you? why me? You deserve it! Often times you go unnoticed. Too many persons in your life take you for granted most of the times. They overlook your selfless giving…you give of yourself, yet very seldom they have anything to give you in return. So here is to “You” to “Me.”

Dear You/Me

Thank you for your kindness, and for giving selflessly. Thank you for your many expressions of love and for being the light that shines in a world that is often darkened by hatred, war and strife. Thank you for being that person to demonstrate strength, courage and for being a well spring of motivation when weakness, fear and discouragement tries to mimic faith to cause defeat in yourself and others.

Thank you for rising early each day to pray, as you make supplications and intercessions for the hurting, the wounded and afflicted, the motherless and the fatherless and those who are in other ways suffering. Thank you for always ensuring that food gets onto the table so that the needs of others are met.

Thank you for always going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that the job is complete and that projects meet their deadlines. Thank you for keeping it together even at times when things are falling apart around you. Thank you for being a positive role model and the one others turn to for guidance, wise council, mentoring, and for giving life to their hopes, dreams and aspirations.

Thank for the breath of life that comes through what you say to others. You are the apple of God’s eye, you are His jewel, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
