Without realising it, far too many of us allow self-defeating thought habits get in the way of living healthy, happy lives. Such constant negative thinking patterns eventually derail us and consequently, we find ourselves thrown under the bus – belly up! It is easy to see how we are quickly robbed of our serenity.
God’s plan for each of our lives far exceed anything that we could have ever imagined. His desire for us above all things is to be happy regardless of the circumstances of the day. Happiness is indeed God’s perfect plan. It is His way of saying that you matter and your life is significant. see [Jeremiah 29:11; 3 John 1:2]
It is on that premise of God’s thoughts and a means of liberating ourselves into a life of happiness that we present these quotes, bible verses and word application as we look forward to a better, happier and more positive new us…
Happiness is not a life without pain, but rather a life in which the painis traded for a worthy cause.” ~ Orson Scott Card
No one should expect to go through life without experiencing pain in some form or another. The sooner we realize this, the happier our life becomes. Not that we relish the pain, but with the understanding that pain in our lives is a source of growth (physical and spiritual) strength, improved productivity, and a means of drawing us closer to God. Ultimately, the prize far exceeds the pain!
Remember that happiness doesn’t depend upon who you are or what you have; it depends solely on what you think.” ~ Dale Breckenridge Carnegie
Happiness is an attitude. It is a state of mind that is directly linked to our daily thoughts. It is not dependent upon how much money, property, clothing, our significant other or even the kind of job we have. It’s the sum total of our daily thoughts. Read: “As A Man Thinketh” by James Allen
Misery steps in when thoughts are negative, evil, self-condemning and they are found not to be lined up with God’s word about us. So, in whatsoever state we find ourselves in today, think positively and give thanks to God who knows all things well. The more positive our thoughts are, the more we allow our mind to function as an instrument that channels happy thoughts, the happier our life will be/come.
Life finds its purpose and fulfillment in the expansion of happiness.” ~ Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
Some ways to accomplish this is to give up being so hard on yourself and beating yourself down. Give up the need to criticize things, events or even people who are different in their views to yours. Relax, embrace change and let life take its natural course. It is much harder for you to find your true purpose when you are unhappy. Simply follow your bliss and watch how the universe open doors for you in places that once had prison walls and doors of iron they were once closed.
I feel it is through prayer, meditationand dedicated service that world peace can take place. Each individual has to try to make others happy, for it is only through happiness that we can have peace.” ~ Sri Chinmoy
Nothing beats prayer and meditation. Both things invites God’s peace into our heart and life. Having His peace will lead us into His presence. As we get into His presence, we begin to experience fullness of joy, pleasures and [happiness] like no other can give.
Look around today, the world stage in many places is lacking peace. It is a wonderful privilege and an opportunity to demonstrate God’s peace and to ignite souls with the flame of happiness. Let us light up the world with our smiles and follow with some good deed. Let the life that we touch each become the next candle that light the way for someone else.
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are ion harmony.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi
A number of our hurdles that we face each day can be attributed to the thoughs we first concocted in our minds. Sad to say many of those thoughts are imaginary, unreal or an unrealistic perception of a truth, all of which prevent us from moving forward.
Picture those unreal thoughts as hurdles that wrap themselves around our ideas of what we can or cannot do. Those thoughts already distorted in the brain, signals a counterfeit language and an action to be demonstrated by whatever part of the body the signal was sent to. So let’s make our thoughts positive and consistently harmonize them with our actions.
Today’s final thoughts comes through this quote from James Allen that says
– A man is not rightly conditioned until he is a happy, healthy and prosperous being; and happiness, health and prosperity are the result of a harmonious adjustment of the inner of the outer of the man with his surroundings.” ~ James Allen
There must be balance with our thoughts, words, our actions, our inner being and the outer man. Happiness is attainable with the adjustments that we are willing to make. Some things are not worth keeping and once we agree to let them go, our lives will be happier, healthier and more at peace.
