Good News: God Did Not Bring You This Far To Leave You
“Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:” ~ Galatians 1:4 KJV
It is a given fact that sometimes in life we want to give up. It is then when life makes no sense we want to throw in the towel and call it quits [from our job, school, church, business…]
That’s because the burdens, trials and afflictions of life can become so overwhelming and the easiest thing or the thing that requires the least effort that one can humanly think about in the middle of such great test of faith, is to give up.
But in spite of everything, you cannot give up now! Let this serve as good news that God did not bring you to this point to leave you. You’ve come a long way on this journey and you’ve made it thus far, not because of the absence of danger, but by faith and God’s presence with you.
According to the perfect will of God and the one who gave Himself upon the cross for our sins, God will deliver us from this present evil world.
What you’ve been going through are admittedly some strange times. There is a tremendous shaking going on every level and many are falling away through apostasy while mothers are weeping for their dying babies.
However, God begun a good work in you and most definitely, He will finish the work that He started. The evidence of this can be found in Philippians 1:6 which emphatically states:
Being confident of this, that he who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (NIV)
God has also promised to create something new at the end of this age. He says, “I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it?” (Isaiah 43:19 CEV)
My friends, while God see your tears, you need faith to envision the new thing that He is about to do in your life and the lives of others around the world. God is not satisfied with the status quo and He is heart-broken about what is happening with you and in the world today.
He sees the need for improvement and the need to make your life happier, more joyful and in a way that is pleasing for His purpose and glory unto His name. When will your change come?
He will bring about the change and make everything right when the time is right for Him. Meanwhile, remember the good news that God did not bring you this far to leave you.

This is always a great reminder. So many people sometimes feel as if there is no reason for them to continue, but reminding us that God didn’t bring us this far to leave us will encourage us to continue and also strengthen us for the journey.
It is definitely a great reminder Richard. The single theme that stood out on social media for me today has been, ‘don’t give up!’ It is true that God will always confirm His word and just as you’ve said the reminder is to ‘encourage us to continue and also strengthen us for the journey.’ Blessings and continue to have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks and You Too!
Minister Yvonne it is indeed encouraging to know that God is always there. When friends, family, coworkers and even the spiritual family walk away and leave you on your own, God never does. It,s truly amazing.
Absolutely Pastor Ava! It is indeed a testimony to the amazing grace of God and His unfailing love towards us His children. Glad you were blessed and have shared words of encouragement with us. God bless you! 🙂
