Maintain Your Confidence And Hope In God And Endure To The End!
I want to say to you, yes you, whatever you are going through today, know that you are going to make it to the end. Continue to run the race with endurance! Run the race believing by faith that God is right there with you! Keep your eyes fixated on Jesus, and the prize at the end of your destination, and don’t look back!
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and sin that doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-1)
Declare with me right now:
Jesus I will endure to the end! Though road blocks have been set up before me, I will endure to the end! Though there are pot holes in the road to my destiny, I will fight the good fight of faith to the end! Though friends forsake me, I will hold on to you to the end who promised never to leave me nor forsake me! Though the mountains are high, the valleys below are deep, and the rivers are wide, I will stand confident in you knowing that there is no place that your blood cannot reach. Jesus I will endure to the end!
My dear friends, as you and I have declared these words, they are not mere words of expression, but a confession of what you and I are to believe, no matter what! Troubles and trials knows the address of each one of us and they will come! I recall the days of my life in times past when they found me. It was some bad times, hard times and some rough straits I’ve been in. I call these chapters in my life’s storybook that I really would rather forget. I’ve been in situations that I did not even know how I would get out of them. I’ve cried tears of sadness of the hurt, pain, disappointments and despair that I experienced in my life. But thank God for His beautiful loving hands that held me, comforted me, lifted me up and guided me. You are not alone and if God did it for me, He will do it for you!
Today I count it a privilege and an honour to have God’s hands holding my hands leading me, and not so much me holding on to His hands. What do I mean by that, you might ask? ‘You see, even though I am all grown up now, there is still a little girl on the inside of me that at times becomes very curious by what her eyes would see and her ears would hear. Honestly, at times she wants to pull away, to explore deeper and do things that would get her into trouble.’
So with God’s hands holding my hands, I am sure to be led on the right path to my purpose in life, my calling and my destiny. My sisters, my brothers, my friends stay on course! Listen closely to your heart and that peculiar sound and rhythym of the direction in which you ought to go. And in the words of George Washington, “Be courteous to all but intimate with few; and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence.”
