We’ve just about come to the end of this blog’s first series called ‘Celebrating The Life of Mother’s Who Rock’ and what an incredible journey it was! Many lives have been touched, especially those who were chosen and honored in a special way. My heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and to you our subscribers, readers and followers, a wealth of gratitude to you, as none of this would have been possible without you. You are awesome!
For today’s series, I’ve selected some quotes specifically, mother’s day quotes that I trust would be a blessing to you. Dad’s I want to say how wonderful you are and that you have not been forgotten. Plans are already on its way to honor you in a special way on this blog for Father’s Day. Meanwhile, do enjoy these quotes:
“The bond between mothers and their children is one defined by love. As a mother’s prayers for her children are unending, so are the wisdom, grace, and strength they provide to their children.” ~ President George W. Bush
“A mother’s love is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking, it never fails or falters, even though the heart is breaking.” ~ Helen Rice
“The mother loves her child most divinely, not when she surrounds him with comfort and anticipates his wants, but when she resolutely holds him to the highest standards and is content with nothing less than the best.” ~ Hamilton Wright Mabie
“I believe the choice to become a mother is the choice to become one of the greatest spiritual teachers there is.” ~ Oprah
“What children take from us, they give…We become people who feel more deeply, question more deeply, hurt more deeply, and love more deeply.” ~ Sonia Taizt
“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavour by her kind precepts and councils to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.” ~ Washington Irving”It’s as if in the mother’s eyes, her smile, her stroking touch, the child first reads the message: ‘Your are there.'” ~ Adrienne Rich
