Affirmations, Quotes And Musings About Things Most Hopeful For

What are you most hopeful for today? What is it that you long for or you hope to see come into existence in your life sooner, rather than later? What is that one thing at the top of your wish list (hope list) that you’ve been keeping to yourself and no one else other than God knows about? What are you most optimistic about?

The Collins dictionary explains hope to mean 1) “want (something) to happen or be true 2) expectation of something desired. 3) thing that gives cause for hope or is desired.”

It is reasonable therefore for each one of us to have that deep desire about something or someone that we hope for.

My Hope Affirmations..

I hope to remain in good health and live a happy life most of the time. I hope to one day re-marry. Yes, I just revealed that. 🙂 I hope that my life would last here upon earth until I am at a ripe old age. I hope that I would see my children all grown, have the best college education, settle down into married life and be successful at it while they raise their own family.

I hope that my entire family would be saved and come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior and that they never end up on the side of eternal death and damnation…These are but a few of my hope affirmations.

Quotes We Love About Hope

“Now faith is the substance of the things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” ~ Hebrews 11:1

Because we have hope, that which we long for and desire, we already have. It is imperative that we hold on to that dream, that desire by faith and believe that it will come to pass. It is putting faith to work when doubting seems so much easier. It may not be exactly the way we envision it, but God honors and rewards those who place their trust in Him.

“True hope dwells on the possible, even when life seems to be a plot written by someone who wants to see how much adversity we can overcome. True hope responds to the real world, to real life; it is an active effort.” ~ Walter Anderson

My encouragement to you on this is to hope for the impossible, things that man cannot bring about of himself and the things that only God can bring to pass. He is the Master of impossibilities. Even when life takes a U-turn on you, like it secretly plotted against you and overwhelm you with adversity – still have hope that God will make all things work together for good in your favor.

“Your hopes, dreams and aspirations are legitimate. They are trying to take you airborne, above the clouds, above the storms, if you only let them.” ~ William James

Hope is something that would never make us ashamed. It is legitimate. It is causing us to challenge and to rise above fear, disappointments, mishaps and setbacks that we’ve experienced in months and years gone by. We have every reason to keep hope alive.

“Consult not your fears but your hopes and dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what is still possible for you to do.” ~ Pope John XXIII

By all means, hope must prevail over fear and doubt. We must never let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes. Never focus on your limitations, but think about the power that lies within your earthen vessel – the power that comes from God’s Holy Spirit and His presence. Forget about your past failures and think about the endless possibilities that can happen when you try again and hope in God.

“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow them.” ~ Louisa May Alcott

The sky is the limit! Aim for it! Never stop dreaming! Set goals, continue to affirm and re-affirm your desires. Look on the bright side of life no matter how dark or dull the day may seem. God is in full control and will grant the desires of your heart as long as you continue to hope and place your trust in Him.

Your turn….

Just as I began, what are you most hopeful for today? What are you most optimistic about? Which hope quote stood out for you? I would love to hear your thoughts..

  3. What a beautiful post! I hope to calm my mind and spirit, to be able to appreciate and enjoy all the beauty around me, and to find that person who makes me a better person and whom I can make a better person, and be the beginning of my new life. 🙂

    • Hi Sylvia, so nice of you to stop by and leave a comment. A great hope affirmation you’ve expressed. My prayer is that you will indeed have that calm mind and spirit, that you are blessed beyond what you have ever imagined, that your new life be filled with peace, joy and happiness. Blessings! 🙂

  4. Hope is my word for the year, and I was particularly having tough night. This came at just the right time. My biggest hope is that my husband and I would conceive, and that our marriage would be strengthened to fulfill God’s plans for us. My biggest earthly hopes and desires. Thanks for sharing this. I will put this in my hope journal.

    • Hi Kate, with God all things are possible! I am reminded of the women in the bible, Sarah for example who went through her season of not conceiving. God gave the promise and then it took some years after for the word to come to pass where she finally gave birth to Abraham’s son, Isaac. God is still the same God today as He was back then.

He knows your heart’s desire and I am joining you in faith believing that it shall come to pass for you and your husband. One day soon, we will get the praise report and lift more glory unto His name.

  5. It is my hope that I will be a published, paid, writer. I’ve only prayed about it. I don’t know what it is I could write about, or how I will get to the paid, published part. I leave it to the Master of Impossibilities (and the patron saint of writers, St. Francis de Sales) to work all of that out. I pray and hope too that my whole family, both immediate and extended – come home.

Another great piece. So glad He put us together!

    • Hi Cristina, faith is the fuel that will drive your passion and desire and give you the ‘home run’ publication that your heart desire. Like I said, don’t ever stop dreaming. It shall come to pass!

As always, may you continue to experience the best things there is in life. Blessings! 🙂
